Clearwater Main Library Displays Spring Exhibits

CLEARWATER - The Clearwater Main Library recently installed new artwork in the library's galleries. The exhibits will be on display through the month of May.

Exhibiting artists include:

  • Carnegie Gallery: Wil Dawson
Dawson creates computer-generated art. He exhibited his works in Madrid, Spain, and Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas. His work was also part of a computer art show, which toured Russia.
  • Osceola Gallery: George Trimitsis
Former professor and chair of the Chemistry Department at the University of Pittsburg at Johnstown, Pa., this prolific artist uses his scientific background to direct his creative digital images. Trimitsis uses computer-generated images, inkjet on canvas or archival paper, to produce stunning abstract images.

George Trimitsis will be hosting a gallery tour and reception on Wednesday, March 24, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The exhibits are open Monday - Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; and Friday - Sunday, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. The Clearwater Main Library is located at 100 N. Osceola Ave. For more information, call (727) 562-4970.
