Winner of Clark Mills Regatta Announced
Blaire McCarthy competes for the St. Petersburg Yacht Club on a beautiful Saturday, March 20, as part of the annual Clark Mills Regatta sponsored by Clearwater Yacht Club. Blaire was one of nearly 40 "Green Fleet" young Opti sailors competing in the sparkling waters behind Sand Key. Nearly 90 more sailors in Opti's 420's and Lasers competed offshore in this year's event. The annual Clark Mills Regatta, sponsored by the Clearwater Yacht Club, was held on March 20th. Approximately 130 sailors competed in the event. The fleet included 40 "Green Fleet", young Opti sailors, racing in the bay, and 90 sailors in Opti's, 420's and Lasers competing offshore. Conner Swikart was the winner of the Clark Mills Trophy. Participants in the event donated non-perishable food items in memory of Olivia Ceraolo, a former CYC Sailing Team member, to benefit the Clearwater Homeless Intervention Project.
