Bowl for Kids' Sake to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas CountyLARGO - This April, bowlers representing local businesses and organizations are lacing up their bowling shoes to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County by participating in Bowl for Kids' Sake 2010. Bowl for Kids' Sake, presented by Bright House Networks, is Big Brothers Big Sisters' largest fundraising campaign of the year. All proceeds raised during the campaign enables Big Brothers Big Sisters to match a child with a caring mentor and continue to professionally support their match. Bowling parties will be held at Seminole Lanes on April 10th, Sunrise Lanes on April 17th, and Countryside Lanes on April 24th. At each location bowlers will celebrate at either a 12:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. session. Individuals will have fun bowling, while celebrating their fundraising efforts, which will further the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County. Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Pinellas, Hernando, and Citrus counties help vulnerable children beat the odds. The organization depends on donations to help recruit volunteers and reach more children. Funding is used to conduct background checks on volunteers, to ensure child safety; and provide ongoing support for children, families, and volunteers to build and sustain long-lasting relationships. Big Brothers Big Sisters is proven to improve children's odds for succeeding in school, behaving nonviolently, avoiding drugs and alcohol, and breaking negative cycles.
