Come Enjoy "Beauty and the Beach"There is something for everyone in Indian Rocks during Beauty and the Beach. This event will be held on Saturday, April 3. Things start early with the IRB Homeowner's Guppy's Gulfside Gallop 5K run and 1 mile fun walk directly on the beach. If you haven't already registered, you have until Friday to register for $15. The cost will be $20 on race day. There are still a few T-shirts remaining, so the sooner you register, the better your chance of reserving one. Pick up an application at Guppy's or City Hall or visit www.irbhome.com to register online. It is too late to mail your registration, but you can call (727) 517-3131 to find out where to drop it off. The run starts at 8:00 a.m., and is sponsored by Guppy's on the Beach. USA Grocers donated the fresh fruit and water, and Publix donated the bagels and bottled water. After the run, be sure to go to the Beach Art Center for the famous Rotary Pancake Breakfast, and to view the Art Center's exhibit. Once you finish there, you can wander across the road to shop at the arts and crafts vendors or stop and watch the different artists drawing on the chalk walk. Don't forget to check out the library's book sale. This is a major fundraiser for our local library.
