Recs and ReadsBy Anne McKay GarrisThe Easter Bunny is coming to Clearwater Beach Friday, April 2, at 6:00 p.m., at the invitation of the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center and the Clearwater Beach Association. Mr. Bunny will meet the youngsters and their parents in Mandalay Park, next to the Fire Station, and invite them to come and find the Easter eggs and other goodies he has brought. All are invited! The two programs on Clearwater seashells and shell crafts were well attended and so successful that the participants have asked for more. Stay tuned for the next seashell adventure at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center. You do know, don't you, that the Recreation Center Pool on Mandalay Avenue, across from the Fire Station, is now open for you to come and enjoy swimming laps, water exercises, or watch the kids enjoy themselves with the pool toys, and slides. The Clearwater Beach Writers' Group has been meeting for over a year and a half, on the first and second Wednesdays, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. New members are always welcome. Books and DVD's are available in the library for you to enjoy as you relax in one of the large, comfortable chairs, or to take home with you. Come and use your library and recreation center. It's the best deal in town.
