Pinellas County Extension Schedules Rain Harvesting WorkshopHave you ever thought "What a waste!" when you see the rain water pouring out of your gutter down spout and then down the street? By attending this workshop you will learn how save that water in a recycled plastic barrel for later use. The collected water is safe for use on your potted plants, vegetable and herb gardens, and special plant collections. All attendees will receive set-up instructions and a reference booklet for free. The workshop will be held Saturday, April 17, from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., at Pinellas County Extension (12520 Ulmerton Rd., Largo.) Advance registration for this free class and pre-payment for rain barrels required. Your rain barrel will be available for pick up on the day of the class if you choose "Participant with Rain Barrel" on step 4 of the registration process. You have a choice of one or two barrels. If you do not want to purchase a rain barrel please select "Participant" by using the drop down arrow.
