UDC to Observe Confederate Memorial DayOn Saturday, April 17, at 10:00 a.m., the Mary Custis Lee Chapter 1451 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will celebrate Confederate Memorial Day at the UDC Memorial Building, located at 3158 Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard in Clearwater. The keynote program will be "The Southern Cross of Honor," presented by Mr. Jack Bolan. The ceremony will include tributes to all Confederate soldiers and the men and women with military service in modern times. There will be traditional and contemporary music and an outdoor cannon demonstration. The UDC performs historical, educational, benevolent, and patriotic activities, and welcomes those interested in Southern history and heritage. The public is invited to attend.
