Largo Community Turns Out for Ecofest

Travis Garman of the City of Largo's Parks Division, at right, helps Wendy Banull, shown with daughter Hannah and son Jacob, select a tree at the Spring Ecofest/Arbor Day Celebration at George C. McGough Nature Park earlier this month. Residents had their choice of several varieties of trees and plants during the annual give-away. Other highlights included wildlife and environmental exhibits, games and activities for children, live music, guest speakers and workshops.

Keep America Beautiful, the Clearwater Audubon Society, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Pinellas County Geological Society were among the other exhibitors taking part in the event.
