CLEARWATER - Divino, an Italian restaurant and bar that's tucked away in downtown Clearwater at 22 N. Ft. Harrison should be added to your must go list. Chef Augustino Rippa is Neapolitan. His authentic Italian cuisine is served in a piazza setting complete with a roaming opera tenor. Experiencing Divino is not just "going out for dinner;" think of it more as a fun or romantic "night out."

The food alone is reason enough to call right now for reservations. Antipastis and familiar favorites like egg plant parmesan and lasagna are featured plus others like: Lamb Lombardi; Tagliata di Manzo - a New York strip broiled with garlic prawns in butter; Pork Portofino - Pork loin stuffed with spinach, peppers, and apple rosemary infused demi-glace; Salmone alla Sorrentina - salmon topped with capers, sun dried tomatoes, black olives, and roasted red peppers; Grouper "Divino" - fresh gulf grouper with onions, artichokes, and capers served in a lemon wine sauce; and Pollo Sorpresa - breast of chicken dipped in parmigiana and sautéed in white wine and lemon with artichoke.

Eleven 10" thin crust pizzas, like Divino's Gourmet White Pizza, Wild Mushroom, and Quattro Formaggio are fresh and made to order.

Divino's concept is unique to Tampa Bay. The owners have raised the bar above their competitors by taking their passion for authentic Italian food and adding extra ingredients to make Divino really divine. Dimitri Lisovitskiy and Pepe Zivkovic have created their vision for what an Italian restaurant should be. "We'd like them to come in, feel, taste and hear part of Italy," said Pepe.

Responding to the economy, Divino offers half off entrees Monday through Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., and free delivery of all menu items to Clearwater, Clearwater Beach, Island Estates, Sand Key, Belleair, and Belleair Beach.

They literally go the extra mile when it comes to customer service…Divino offers a free shuttle to and from the restaurant. Pepe makes himself available to pick people up from area hotels and vacation rentals.

Like the traditional piazzas of Italy, Divino has been designed as a place where lovers, friends, and family can gather to enjoy their time together over a fantastic meal. It's a lovely place for weddings and celebrations and can accommodate parties up to 250. Divino also provides catering service with customized menus.

Divino is closed on Sundays. They're open weekdays for lunch from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and for dinner Monday through Saturday from 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 pm. Divino is located at 22 N. Ft. Harrison, and has free, convenient parking in the back.
