
Clearwater Takes Both NSAL Winston Scholarship AwardsNational Society of Arts and Letters Clearwater/Tampa Bay Chapter candidates for the NSAL National Winston Scholarship Awards for Art and Music were both won by candidates from the Tampa Bay area. Jason C. Ryan won a $2000 award, which enables him to study at La Musica Lirica in Italy. He placed first in a field of 26 candidates. Inga Loyev placed first in a field of 24 candidates and received an award of $4000. She will study at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. Both these candidates submitted their competition pieces to the National Judges in March. Requirements are sponsorship by a local chapter, with direct submission of work to the national judges.
