Civitan Bowl-A-Rama Fundraiser ScheduledThe Clearwater Civitans will hold a fundraising Bowl-A-Rama on Sunday, May 23, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Twedts Lane (13100 Seminole Blvd., Largo). The cost for two hours of bowling is $12.00 a person; this includes bowling shoes and sales tax. The purpose of the fundraiser is to help the Clearwater Civitan Club help the North Pinellas Junior Civitans, the Challenger Division of the Clearwater Little League, and the students and teachers at Calvin Hunsinger and Paul Stevens Exceptional Student Schools. Donations from the Civitan Candy Box program have gone down, so the Clearwater Civitan Club has expanded its fundraising efforts in order to meet promised donation goals to these organizations. Volunteers who help the Clearwater Civitan Club in their hands on projects of Community Assistance have increased, some even joining the club. Civitan dues are less than $100.00 a year, and are paid quarterly. The Clearwater Civitan Club meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., at the Countryside Country Club. The club has interesting speakers, conduct business, and/or plan projects. Often after the meeting some of the members get together and go to dinner.
