Daughters of Italy Lodge Announce Scholarship WinnersCLEARWATER - The Daughters of Italy Lodge #2825, the Clearwater chapter of the Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA), proudly announce their scholarship winners for 2010. The recipient of the Daughters of Italy Lodge #2825 Scholarship is Brianna Rizzo, a graduate of Northeast High School, St. Petersburg. The daughter of Phil and Karen Rizzo, the 17-year old senior plans to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Brianna's family heritage is from Sicily and Naples. The winner of the Daughters of Italy Lodge #2825 Filomena Genovese Meo Scholarship is Renee Vanderhoof, a junior at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Renee's family heritage is from Sicily. She is an accomplished pianist and plans to become certified to teach K-12 music and grades 6 - 12 math. Her major is Music with a minor in Math Education. Both young women will be awarded Certificates of Excellence and a Dante Medal when they are introduced to the lodge's membership at an upcoming meeting.
