Church of the Good Shepherd Schedules Memorial Day Service
On Monday, May 31, come honor those who have honored us with their service to this great country. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd (639 Edgewater Drive, Dunedin.) The service will include patriotic songs, bagpipes, a Color Guard, and speaker. A light lunch will follow the service in Kirk Hall.

LARGO - Join the City of Largo in honoring those who have lost their lives while fighting for our country. The ceremony will be held Monday, May 31, at 7:00 p.m. at Largo Central Park's Military Court of Honor (101 Central Park Dr, Largo.) This ceremonial event will include a keynote speaker, music, color guard, and wreath presentation in remembrance of our fallen soldiers. This event is free and open to the public. CLEARWATER - Clearwater Veterans Alliance and Clearwater Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will host Clearwater's Memorial Day Weekend Kickoff Parade on Friday, May 27, 7:00 p.m., Cleveland Street in downtown Clearwater. There will be a U.S. Coast Guard flyover, military honor guards, the Clearwater High School JROTC Silent Drill Team, Boys and Girls Clubs, Boy and Girl Scouts, and other groups. _____________________________________________
SEMINOLE - Bay Pines VA will commemorate Memorial Day with a ceremony on Monday, May 31, 10:00 a.m. at the Bay Pines National Cemetery. This is the only National Cemetery in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties and the largest observance of Memorial Day with more than 3,000 expected. Steve Jerve, chief meteorologist for WFLA, News Ch. 8, will serve as the ceremony's emcee. Guest speakers will include Congressman C.W. "Bill" Young (R-Indian Shores) and representatives from the VA.
