Safety Harbor Public Library Schedules Antarctica ProgramThe Safety Harbor Public Library announces Antarctica: A study of life in a changing climate, on Thursday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. The program is presented by Paul Suprenand, a Ph.D. student at the University of South Florida, who was part of a team of USF research scientists who spent March to May in Antarctica investigating the dramatic decline of a key player in the food chain, the Antarctic silverfish. The suspected killer is global warming. Suprenand also served as the chief photographer on the expedition and will share his experiences along with his photos, which are on exhibit in the Library in June and July. Light refreshments will also be served. The Library is located at 101 2nd St. N., Safety Harbor. For more information, call 724-1525, x112.
