Restore Amtrak service to the Gulf coast!Did you know that if you travel by train from Tampa or Orlando, you must go through Washington DC to get to New Orleans? Did you know that you cannot reach Tallahassee or Pensacola by Amtrak? Sunset Limited service between New Orleans and Orlando, by way of Mobile, Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville, was never restored after Katrina. This rail line would provide a much-needed economic stimulus to the region. Strike a blow for reducing independence on oil while providing an invaluable service to the Gulf coast region!
