Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard addresses attendees at the grand opening of the Aging Well Center. CLEARWATER - Tuesday, June 8th, marked the opening of the new 8,000 sq. ft. facility for residents aged 55 and older. Located in the Long Center at 1501 N Belcher Road, programs promoting health and wellness, education, recreation, and socialization are underway. June's calendar is full of classes and activities for enhancing mind and body like Belly Dancing for Real Women; Memory Fit by Morton Plant Mease Healthcare; Zumba and Zumba Gold; and Brain Fitness by Posit Science. Other fun classes offered this month involve the arts like Painting with Taylor Ikin; Radio Theater - Ham It Up; Memoir and Journal Writing; Papermaking and Book Binding Journals; Silk Dyed Fabrics and Digital Photography.
