Greg Kern Earns Degree from the University of Vermont

BURLINGTON, VT - Greg G. Kern of Largo, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering within the College of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences during May commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont.

The university conferred degrees this year on an estimated 3,034 graduates, including 2,411 bachelors, 380 masters, 105 doctoral, and 102 M.D. degree recipients, in addition to 29 post-baccalaureate certificates. Among degree recipients were students from 42 states 20 countries.

Chartered in 1791, UVM was the first college or university in the United States that did not give preference to a religious sect in its charter and the first to allow women to join Phi Beta Kappa. A small, comprehensive university, it blends the academic heritage of a private university with service missions in the land grant tradition.
