Threshers Schedule Boy Scout CarnivalThe Boy Scouts of America West Central Florida Council is teaming up with the Clearwater Threshers baseball team to create a night of baseball and scouting fun. This event will be held on Saturday, July 24, at Bright House Field (Hwy 19 and Drew St., Clearwater.) Gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the game starts at 6:30 p.m. Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops will line the stadium concourse end-to-end with demonstrations, skill areas, program displays, historical displays, games, prizes, contests, and even a few surprises. If you don't know what a Pinewood Derby Track is, what a Monkey Bridge is, and what happens at a Raingutter Regatta, come experience all three in one evening! Also, find out which Top Ten Guinness World Record Holder of the Decade is interested in our Boy Scout Carnival! A game-day patch will be presented to any new youth who registers at the game for membership in Boy Scouts of America. Each ticket is only $13, and includes three hours of an All You Can Eat and Drink deal. Since it's Motorcycle Night, there will also be some fancy bikes to view. There will be a spectacular post-game fireworks show as well. Tickets are available at the Threshers box office or by calling Dan Madden of Threshers Group Sales at (727) 639-7568, and ask for Boy Scout tickets.
