Safety Harbor Garden Club Schedules ProgramAre you pruning your shrubs, then throwing away the "trash"? Instead, use those branches, roots, and even leaves to start new plants. It's a free, fun, and easy way to share your favorite plants with your friends. Come to the program "How to Root Your Own Free Plants" with Sandy Huff. The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, at the Safety Harbor Library (101 Second St. North.) The meetings are free and open to the public. Sandy Huff, a Safety Harbor resident and Master Gardener, will give a hands-on demo on techniques for rooting cuttings. Each attendee will leave with a newly potted sprig of their own. Plus, some of the plants already potted by the Safety Harbor Garden Club members in their monthly "potting parties" will be given away as door prizes. For more information, call (727) 724-1525.
