Belleair Garden Club Awards Scholarship to Local Student
This month the Belleair Garden Club awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Belleair resident, Westin Jensen. Westin has been accepted into the University of Florida and is attending the summer B term, which began in late June. Westin is majoring in Building Construction, with an emphasis on international sustainable development in the College of Design, Construction & Planning. It is his goal to earn a Master's degree and then pursue a career in Construction Science & Management. Westin's free time is spent playing golf, hockey, tennis, guitar, and piano. The Belleair Garden Club Scholarship Fund was established to give financial assistance to disadvantaged high school graduates in their preparation for a vocation in horticulture, ecology or related fields.
