Hours Extended for Businesses Selling AlcoholBusiness establishments in Pinellas County that sell alcoholic beverages now have the option to stay open until 3:00 a.m. The new limit on closing times is effective July 30th. The Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners passed an ordinance at its July 27th meeting to allow the change in hours. The prior time that establishments were required to close was 2:00 a.m. Businesses had requested the commission to consider the change in hours, to allow uniform regulation on a countywide basis. Municipalities have the discretion to set earlier closing hours, but they may not set later hours.
