Lowry Park Zoo Comes to Clearwater

Ashley Hodges, animal ambassador trainer at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, introduces Nikita, a 12-year-old barn owl, to youngsters at the Ross Norton Recreation and Aquatic Complex in Clearwater on a recent afternoon. Nikita, who found a home at the zoo after being hit by a car, has only one wing. A Florida pine snake and a tortoise were among the other creatures Hodges included in her presentation on Florida wildlife.
