Education Resource Conference Scheduled for SeptemberLARGO - The Statewide Advocacy Network on Disabilities of Pinellas County will host a conference on accessing education resources at Fitzgerald Middle School (6410 118th Ave N.) in Largo on Saturday, September 11. The STAND Pinellas Accessing Resources Conference - "SPARC 2010" - is geared to provide parents, teachers, therapists, and others with resources to help children improve their achievement levels. The one-day conference will include 60 breakout education sessions with local, state, regional, and federal organizations on hand. The conference also features an exhibitor area with more than 100 booths. (Many school district employees and therapists can earn CEUs or Credit Points for participating.) SPARC 2010 will have a focus on children with special needs, however many of the resources are equally valuable and available to all children. Pre-registration for SPARC 2010 is $25 before September 1st. After September 1st, registration is $40. Register online at www.standadvocates.org or log on for additional program information.
