Tampa Bay Surface Design Guild Members Show at Beach Art Center
The Beach Art Center presents Surfing the Surface: Tampa Bay Surface Design Guild Member Show, from September 10th to October 22nd. The exhibit will begin with a free Opening Reception on September 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the public may meet the artists and enjoy their works. Surface design is a way of manipulating fabric through dyeing, painting, stitchery, stenciling or screenprinting to embellish or alter the original surface. Artworks will feature individuality in design, beautiful color, and variety in purpose. Four workshops are being offered in conjunction with the Surfing the Surface exhibition, offered by exhibiting artists and surface design notables Marlene Glickman, Linda Dawson, and Pat Lamb.
