Clearwater Civitan Frank Kelley Earns Florida District Civitan Honors

An eight-member delegation from the Clearwater Civitan Club traveled to Ocala recently for the Florida District Convention. They returned home with both individual and club awards. Clearwater Civitan Frank Kelley, the outgoing Governor of the Florida District, was presented the coveted Master Club Builders Jacket for building a local Junior Civitan Club, and for assisting the building of a Civitan Club in St. Augustine. He also received the Florida District Honor Key for his work in bringing the Junior Civitan International Convention to the Florida District, and organizing the committee that made that convention highly successful.

Current Clearwater Civitan Club President, Richard Fuller, was called to the podium seven times to receive awards for the club's outstanding performance. He accepted the awards for individual projects in the categories of community service, aid to the handicapped, and service to youth. He also accepted the awards for Club Education and Club Fellowship.

Civitan District Governor, Frank Kelley, will finish his term of office officially when he and his wife, Kim, head to the Civitan International Convention in Cancun, Mexico, next month. Clearwater Civitan President, Richard Fuller, and next year's Club Treasurer, Fabio Botero, will also attend the convention; International awards are expected for the Clearwater Club.
