Participants in the West Florida Lightning Aquatics competitive swimming program work out at Southwest Pool in Largo on a recent Saturday morning. The young swimmers, who range in age from 6 to 17, are looking forward to their next meet, which will take place in St. Petersburg in September. The annual Halloween Meet hosted by WFLA is scheduled October 15-17. Over 700 swimmers are expected to converge on Southwest Pool for that event, said WFLA head coach Cashel Mack.
