Candidate for Attorney General Speaks at Greater Pinellas Democratic Club
Fresh from a successful primary run, Dan Gelber, candidate for Attorney General, will be the featured speaker at The Greater Pinellas Democratic Club on September 16th.
Dan Gelber, a longtime federal prosecutor before being elected to the Florida State House in 2002, subsequently becoming its leader from 2006 to 2008, is currently a member of the Florida State Senate and a practicing attorney. As described by a prominent South Florida newspaper, this "principled smart and witty" candidate has pledged as Attorney General to (in his own words) "use the office to make sure that our vulnerable citizens are not preyed upon, that civil rights are respected and that ordinary people are not overwhelmed by the powerful." To meet and learn more about this outstanding candidate make this meeting a priority.
This important and informative event, to be held at Banquet Masters (8100 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park), starts with cocktails (cash bar) and social time at 6:00 p.m., followed by a varied and sumptuous buffet dinner ($15) at 6:30 p.m., and concludes with Gelber's presentation.
Don't miss this chance to hear and ask questions of this very special guest. Everyone is welcome!
