JNF's Moms for Israel Schedules Parlor Meeting

PALM HARBOR - Jewish National Fund's (JNF) Moms for Israel will host a wine and cheese parlor meeting on Tuesday, September 21, from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the home of Tina Gordon. Lauren Mescon, co-president of JNF's Southeast region and a Makor member, will speak about JNF's Caravan for Democracy-High School Edition (CFD-HSE), and the importance of arming our children with the knowledge necessary to advocate for Israel on college campuses across the United States. "Education is the best thing we give to our children," said event host Tina Gordon. "Helping our students understand what is happening in Israel-that knowledge can defend our heritage and can help explain and defend against the propaganda that is becoming more common on college campuses and in the media."

Moms for Israel Campaign is a grassroots campaign that has brought together thousands of women across the country and the world. For the past two years they have helped the families of Sderot, by sending 500 children to one week of summer camp and by raising money for new equipment and to support the sports, arts, dance, and educational programs at the new Sderot Indoor Recreation Center that JNF built so the children would have a safe place to play.

This year the campaign is focused on raising funds for Caravan for Democracy-High School Edition (CFD-HSE). The program, an initiative of Jewish National Fund (JNF) and American Friends of Likud, brings speakers to schools to promote Israel advocacy and educates high school juniors and seniors throughout the U.S. as they prepare to transition to their future college campuses. The event will be held at 833 Lakeside Terrace, Palm Harbor.
