Supervisor of Elections Offers Voter Registration Events

Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark is announcing upcoming voter registration events and reminding residents that Monday, October 4, is the voter registration deadline to vote in the November 2nd General Election.

Registration is required for new voters by this deadline in order to participate in the election. Voters who are already registered to vote do not need to re-register.

You can register to vote or update your voter information at any Supervisor of Elections office, public library, driver license office or government office handling social services. All Supervisor of Elections offices will be open Saturday, October 2, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some public libraries have evening and weekend hours.

Clark's office has also scheduled voter registration events and demonstrations of the optical scan voting system. You can register to vote, update your address, name, party or signature, and request mail ballots at any of the following events:

October 2 - Voter Registration and Voting System Demonstration. Seminole Indoor Fresh Market, Seminole Mall, (11201 Park Blvd., Seminole.) 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

October 2 - Voter Registration and Education, Good Old Fashioned Picnic. Sand Key Park, Pavilion #2, Clearwater. 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

October 3 - Register at Your House of Worship and Voting System Demonstration. First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks (12685 Ulmerton Rd., Largo.) 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Citizens who are registered anywhere in Florida and now reside in Pinellas County can make name, address or signature updates through Election Day. However, voters are encouraged to update their voter information prior to Election Day to avoid delays. Address changes within the county may be made by phone. Other updates may be made by completing and signing a Voter Registration Application with the changes noted.
