
SPCA Tampa Bay Hits a Grand SlamPhotos/taxt by Renee Burrell
Lucky the Bichon (Seminole) brought his human to Grand Slam Day so he could get his portrait taken with Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher, Grant Balfour. LARGO - SPCA's Grand Slam Day of Events Saturday raised $2,225.00 for the betterment of countless homeless, neglected, and abused animals in our community. In addition to the funds, twelve lucky animals were adopted to forever homes. Guests enjoyed meeting Tampa Bay Rays star pitcher, Grant Balfour, who posed and autographed pictures for $5 donations. Balfour and his wife, Angie, are dedicated supporters of SPCA and own adopted dogs, Zeus and ZZ. Tampa Bay SPCA is located at 9099 130th Avenue North in Largo.
