Fourth Grader's Artwork to be Seen by Thousands

You may not have heard of fourth-grader Kelly David, age 9, from St. Patrick's Catholic School, but if you drive down Ulmerton Road next week, you will see her artwork. The announcement of the 2010 Largo Fire Rescue Annual Fire Prevention poster/billboard contest, overall winner will be made at St. Patrick's Catholic School (1501 Trotter Rd., Largo) at 8:30 a.m., after morning announcements. The press is invited and requested to capture the surprise of the little girl as she learns that she is, The Grand Prize "overall" Winner this year! The school officials and her parents have been advised, but it's going to be a big surprise for Kelly!

As the Grand Prize "overall" Winner of the 2010 Largo Fire Rescue Annual Fire Prevention poster/billboard contest, Kelly and her family will be taken to Largo Fire Station 38 (7630 Ulmerton Road) in a fire engine where the billboard is located. At 9:00 a.m., she will climb into the firetruck's bucket and taken up to sign her artwork, which she created to illustrate this year's theme: "Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With!" The press is invited to attend the signing of the billboard and welcomed to interview Ms. Kelly David, as well.
