Skyway Club Hosts Cat Show in LargoPhotos/text by SANDI FAHY
Some 125 cats competed in six rings at the cat show hosted by the Skyway Cat Club at the Minnreg Building in Largo in September. All breeds of cats were shown, including household pets and rescue animals. Stephen Spitzer, 14, is pictured above with Checkers, a 5-month-old rescue kitten from Alabama he was planning to adopt after the show. Checkers won a fifth place ribbon in the household pet division.
Members of Girl Scout Troop 1049 volunteered their services at the recent Skyway Cat Club Cat Show at the Minnreg Building in Largo. Helping out on the first day of the event are, from left, Julia Babieri, De'Andra Crayton, Courtney Debellis, Arianna Crayton, Rebecca O'Lone and Itya Shaver. Troop leaders are Jennifer Jones and Darla Urban.
