Dunedin Festival Highlights Past Ties to Citrus Industry
The citrus industry was alive and well in Dunedin from the late 1800s well into the 20th century. There was a time when orange groves filled the land around the town. The city has paid tribute to its past by hosting an Orange Festival for the past four years. The most recent event took place at Edgewater Park on July 6. It featured exhibits, games, musical entertainment, an orange bonnet silent auction, Mojo Cookoff and more. Proceeds will benefit the Dunedin Historical Society and the Dunedin Chamber Cultural & Educational Foundation.
