Chapel plans sermon
CLEARWATER BEACH — The Rev. Herb Freitag's sermon at 10:30 a.m. worship Sunday at Chapel-By-The-Sea Community Church, 54 Bay Esplanade, is “A womb with a view.” He'll ask the question: Are we clinging desperately to what we feel is safe and secure; familiar and comfortable?
Adult Sunday School starts at 9:15 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Hartung providing a synopsis of the New Testament. Youth Sunday School starts with church at 10:30. Coach pick-up schedule and route are available by calling the office at (727) 446-0430. Thursday Bible study starts at 10:30 a.m.

Non-Trivial Pursuits offers variety of Monday programs
CLEARWATER BEACH — Chapel by the Sea, 54 Bay Esplanade, offers the free educational program Non-Trivial Pursuits at 7:30 p.m. Mondays. Here's what's coming up:
• Monday — Playwright, director, storyteller and actress Nan Colton will portray a famous mystery writer in the presentation “Agatha Christie — It's all a mystery!”
• March 24 — Jeff Hartzog, general manager of the Capitol Theatre, will present “Inside the Theater: From Old to New!”
• March 31 — Nan Jensen of Pinellas County Extension will give a talk on “Power Up Your Plate: Foods that Pack a Nutritional Punch!”
• April 7 — John Perodeau of the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum will speak about “The Autos of the Past, Here in the Future!”

Girls in need can get help for Prom
SEMINOLE — Belle of the Ball Inc., a nonprofit organization which provides homecoming and prom dresses to in-need, low-income high school girls in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, announced the spring prom distribution dates: Saturday, April 5, 19 and May 3 at the Seminole Mall, 11201 Park Blvd.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Children's clothing charity to hold fundraiser
ST. PETERSBURG — Clothes To Kids will host its annual Clothe a Child Fundraising Luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. March 20 at The Coliseum, 535 Fourth Ave. N. The theme this year is “Count On Me.”
The ticket price of $50 is what it costs CTK to provide low-income kindergarteners through 12th-graders with a week's worth of clothing. Buy tickets at www.clothestokids.org. Table sponsorships begin at $400 for a table of eight. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Help for families of alcoholics
Al-Anon Family Groups help families and friends of problem drinkers recover from the impacts of a loved one's drinking. Members help each other by practicing the 12 steps of alcoholics anonymous, welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.
